I am looking for plans for a small simple sneak boat I found some pictures on Google this is what I am looking for any help would be great this is my first build hope to do a duck hunter after I get this one under my belt thanks in advance

Have you taken a look at the Devlin website? Most guys on here who have built, have built Devlin boats.
But there are others out there.

Are you looking at stitch & glue or traditional frame-built?

Andrew~

I buy all my epoxy and 'glass supplies from U S Composites (Florida): http://www.uscomposites.com/epoxy.html

I learned about them from this site and have been very happy with their products and service. I always have one of their gallon kits (635 resin with medium hardener) in the shop.

For a boat like yours, I would use 6-ounce cloth on the bottom and 4-ounce on the decks.

Others on this site have plenty of experience with the stitch-n-glue method.

All the best,

SJS

I too work construction so you should be bout set like I am with tools and and knowledge to build the boats I haven't build the hybrid but Im building two boats off of the gator plans a modified duckhunter and croc. What part of Nebraska do you live in I use to work with a guy from up there and got to deer hunt in halls fine state a few times. Beautiful country up that way.

I'm not sure with the hybrids bro, but the duckhunter takes a three gallon kit. That's two gallons of resin and one gallon of hardener. For it to be completely sealed and keep the wood dry from water. It also depends on the fiberglass you use and how much waste you have. I would say for four boats maybe get a seven gallon kit to start and as you build you will see if you will need more. But I stress I haven't built the hybrids you are thinking about building.

Not sure I follow you when you say flip it upside down but, most everyone use's pour in flotation foam that you can get as a kit. I will be using it too but flotation in the front and rear of my boats between some bulkheads. Do a search on this site you should find some ideas for the foam. Hope this helps bro.

Sounds like you have decided on the hybrid and I built 3 couple years ago. Im not as skilled as others here but IMO they are more pond boxes and would not be my choice for using as anything else other than a layout boat. My first two boats without any woodworking experience were from Glen L marine: Duckboat 2 and the Sneakbox. It was easier for me to do plywood on the frame than tackle the stitch and glue. For me it seemed more intimidating. For others my not be so. Just depends on if you are using for shooting or transportation to the hunting spot.
Just my experience and info.
Good luck with whatever you decide.
