I'm standing outside a friends house in California staring at the mother load of fronds. Who wants some and what are they worth?

Might get a big old box sent east.

cheaper to ship them from Florida if you needed them than from California.....better shape on the Florida Cabbage Palm fronds than on the California ponds....as wide as they are tall vs long and narrow....
Hitch used to have a little endeavor shipping them....called it Cracker Grass....had boxes made specifically for them.....you might contact him and see if he's still doing that..or if he would still do it.....
I'd do it for a Brant Hunt....wink wink...but you'd have to wait till I get back to Florida in Dec.....or for a TWO person Brant hunt I could get it done before then.....or decoys.....Bluewings would be nice....or GOLD....

I mean for decoy makin' not for brush.

There's a nice one with a big fat base that looks like a proud drake pintail hiding inside

Come on up for the brant anytime. I haven't hunted them in way too long

DOHHHHH. I sent fronds from there to Bob Furia several times. Funny that I never even thought of that when I saw your post. They need to be bigger than you think. I was sending stuff to Bob that I was sure was plenty big but that ended up as Teal or pickle heads.

I'll trade you a box of fronds for a box of kittens....

I've heard the fronds from The Land of Fruits and Nuts are better sized to make decoys than those from America's Wang...I'm no expert, but I did stay at the Buena Vista Palace Hotel last week and the fronds I saw around Crazy Town were probably sized to make a nice dove rig.

Seriously though, how about pick of the litter (decoys, not kittens!)...you send me a box with 6 or 8 and I'll send you a finished deek? Maybe a couple of nice bull sprig sized ones (I'll make a Kalifornia pair) and some other smaller coot and teal sized ones?

I can't fit any in my bag, but will get some shipped soon and report back.

Chuck, shouldn't be a problem to get you some. I've explained to my friend how big they need to be.
