I saw an ad in a Dick's sporting goods flyer yesterday in the Sunday paper. That was the first I had heard of it too.

If it has a prefix in the number series starting with SPR, you must know that this is not made in America...Which is not necessarily bad...The choke systems are not Rem choke systems either, they are of the SPR brand...Remington just throws their brand name on it...

ive been told its a balki, marketed by rem. And the chokes was one of the big questions I had. Already having a $100 patternmaster that wont fit your new bargin gun, can take some of the bargin out of it! travis

My buddy shoots that auto, and for the price he doesn't spend too much time cleaning it. He figures if it goes bad he'll by another. I think it's a good gun for waterfowling, because you don't need to baby her. LI_Mike might chime in here, because he shoots full choke (factory) and takes clean shots. His first day using the gun, a pair of mallards dropped in within 25 yards and I let him take the pair-- he ende up with a dutch double.

I'd buy one if I was in the market.
