Sorry, in asking about your sight, I didn't mean to expose you to so much criticism. I think your video is great, you can call a two bird shot whatever you want to in my books, and I fully support you trying whatever sights you would like. (I'm quite a tolerant person) I'm no expert marksman myself, and I am far too young to be so rooted in tradition that I can't see innovation for what it is.

I'm sorry, I thought you might be interested in honing proper wingshooting technique, but it seems you just want to buy a trinket. I've actually been retraining myself to shoot lefty after shooting right handed for 30+ years. A properly shouldered shotgun needs no rear sight, and having one will just create a habit of aiming in my opinion. Carry on.

As a moderator for the site, the expectation is a higher level of respect and tolerance than this post displayed. Respectful communication is one of the things that brings us all back.

The exchange of differing opinions, experiences, and tools help us all improve. If we all used X decoys and Y shotguns, life would get boring.

I saw a duckboat, some ducks, decoys, a fantastic dog, and some duck hunters in the video, which, in my opinion, are more relevant than some posts I see on this site; regardless of any piece of equipment used.

If this was supposed to be a "teaching moment", it failed miserably in its delivery and my estimation of the integrity of the moderator has plummeted. I wonder about the motivations for the vitriol...

I have known Farrukh personally for several years - you will not find a nicer, kinder, guy who has worked hard to get to where he is, and the equipment he has. He does not deserve the critisism.

Did you read what was written in this thread? You say vitriol, but I see none. The only thing that comes close to vitriol is the response to Chuck and his prodding that you don't need to use a gizmo sight to kill ducks. It is all there plain to see, someone just has to read it, you can't spin what Chuck wrote as vitriol since what he wrote is there for the record. As far as integrity… Chuck did nothing to affect his integrity. You may not like what he said, but that has nothing to do with integrity. I’ll spare everyone the definitions of vitriol and lack of integrity, but neither apply in this case and your challenges are unfounded.

You make statements claiming personal attacks out of my critiquing of shooting style, yet you will say this about someone's physical build? I know Tod, we've carved together, we've drank beer together, we've ate "meat soup" together, I've even been to his in-laws house. He may rub you in the wrong spots, but he's as honest of a guy there is on this board, you always know where you stand with him, and he's been contributing quality information for a decade before you became a member.

You seem to harbor resentment towards several members here. I've seen it in this thread and others as well. Fatty insults? Really? I read through this thread and yes Chuck added his critical thoughts and Farrukh took them in stride and offered counter points. In my opinion your dislike (that predates this thread) of him and others got in the way of what might have been a healthy discourse in several areas of waterfowling and shotgunning. But instead you turned it into a Refugesue insultfest. Happy?

Word to the wise, if you put pictures, video, etc. on this site, and many others like it, you open yourself up to criticism. It might be someone giving you a hard time for outside reasons, or it might be an opportunity to learn something through a little debate. Nothing wrong with the latter which is where I thought this thread might go until you started taking shots.


Just what is it with the New Jersey crowd? Damn, I've never seen so much controversy, fighting, and dislike from any single geographic region. Crap has been going on for years. Someone explain it to me. Sure does seem to be a lot of pissed off duck hunters from New Jersey. I've got to know some wonderful people from New Jersey, but there is some real attitude that comes out of that place too. Maybe that "in your face" insult stuff works there. Where I grew up all it does is make people want to avoid you.
