Curious, without titles how do you handle registering out there so it can run under power? Can you get homemade titles for trailers? I recently bought a 12' Grumman v-boat with a bill of sale and was able to register the boat in my name but can't get a title. Boats under 22' here don't require titles so it's not and issue.

In NJ, trailers I have registered didn't have titles but those were for boats under 20'. I have registered a trailer as homemade in NJ. For the boat you could register it as homemade if you make a bunch of repairs to it.

That is the real deal. If it is a planked boat and I had some carpentry skills, it would be one I wanted to restore. As Steve noted, the hull is the give-away.
