So I figured now that I'm retired....

...I'll really start turning out decoys. Wrong.

It seems like all I've done for the first two weeks is roll interior latex paint on walls in my house.

This weekend & today, I managed to get into the shop and paint this frond pintail. All that pent up creativity came out. I really like how this snakey-neck interpretation turned out.

By the way, this bird will be on the market. Contact me for details if interested.

Incredible Bob,

I love it!!

Some time in the when ever future, we may need to discuss a very different Wigeon you know...one with an all too familiar attitude :-)

I'm guessing even when Bob simply puts paint on the walls of his house it still looks better than what most people could ever dream of doing. He probably has designed some sort of a spatter roller.

Outstanding decoy!!

Seeing what, Lee? Just some simple Acrylic-Latex paint touches on the ceiling in the family room that's all. Like those two old Italian house-painters, Michael & Angelo.

Actually, the Pinnie floats beautifiully. That's one of the plusses for palm fronds; it's hard to not get them to float well. Must have something to do with that modified "gull-wing" bottom profile.

please stop posting pics Bob , your killing me.

really , green is not a good color on me .......

still saving up for a black duck.

on a side note, a friend of mine had a life sized picture on his wall of the just the two hands from your second pic ( his wife would constanly tell everyone that it was a life sized replica of blah blah , yeah we know where its from.....) . As a joke , another friend replaced the brass plaque at the bottom with one inscribed " pull my finger " ,he knew about the plaque , she didn't . He said it was 6 months before she noticed it, it was an oscar worthy performance convincing her he didn't do it.
