Thought you might enjoy this series of photos from the floodwaters and my brother trying to shoot one of those fast flying, elusive creatures! Believe it or not, they were in the dry treetops in the floodwater and you could shoot them with a BB gun.... Actually, Kory and crew went through some BB's!

Looky, looky at what you see in this one.

Had to throw in a teal pic for you. 28 in 28 minutes!

I wish! Cant find steel shot for them.... Sutton will pick right up on what I am talking about, I am sure.

Look again.

you shoot it with the Clotori?....(oh my thats unfit for all the 11 year olds that watch the site dailoy---but to my mnind this is an adult duck camp AND thats two inside jokes at once plus I'm in no danger of deleting myself)....

Too neat man...I miss the REALLY SMALL GAME HUNTS......

BTW...your Old Squaw is sitting on my desk--FINISHED except for the keel, whidh is sitting right next to it, also finished and sitting right next to the decoy, just waiting to be attached....should be able to complete it by, oh...say......2010 or so.....

Maybe late October? Ducks and Woodcock?

Steve

Nope, I have only shot 2 of something that I am holding in that pic.

Cool on the squaw! I know you have talked about coming that time of year for a while and it would be great to have you. I have not even stepping into my woodcock spot for a few years now. BTW, did I ever tell you the rest of the story on the "lost clitori?"

My word Ira, ya'll look like you got as much water as we do down here! I recognize a few faces too.

Ira,

Looks like a nice spot. I got into some CA's while everyone was shooting dove and found some spots full of rails... had a good time and even knocked down some doves that flew overhead while searching for my rails...

Hope all's well on your side of the river.

That oldsquaw reminds me of a Harli I have sitting in a box in my shed..
Except its keeled...

Steve when does your season for them start?

format of that photo is throwing me off cause other than the "longbilled Curlew Bill I see poking out of the top of your waders, (and I know that isn't what you are talking about cause I know you've whacked a stack of those and you said that "only the second one I've killed), I don't see anything except that "maybe" the bill on the bird in the middle with his back against the GW is a bit too "lobed" to be a BW and is actually a Cinammon......

So if thats not it then what am I missing? And NO you haven't told me "the rest of the story" on the "missing Clitori".....

Geoff....season opens on all ducks this weekend but I doubt I'll do any seaduck hunting until after the third week of Nov.....

I'm guessing clapper rail in the left hand... but I don't know rails, we can't hunt them here.

Let us know

Nice pics by the way!

Haha, Sutton, you crack me up! Eyesight might not be too good on Cyclops, but your memory is like a steel trap. Curlews cooked by eskimos are mighty tasty!

Jack was the closest. 2 species of rails in my left hand- 1 sora, 1 virginia. Only the second virginia I have taken.

The citori story is this. Shot a turkey one morning and went to the office. Could have sworn my gun was in the truck. I guess all the days run together as I could remember putting the gun in the back seat. Well, I thought it had been stolen, but still went up into the woods to look for it. Remember, it was the only Citori Browning had factory dipped at the time. So, I find the feathers of the bird I had shot, think I find the tree where I was sittting, etc. Never find the gun.

Call the cops, file a report on a stolen gun. Fast forward 3 years. A guy I know calls me up and says he found a camo Citori while shed hunting on a ridgetop and wants to know if it is mine!!! It was still leaning against a tree barrell up. You can imagine that this job was bigger than Break-Free could handle....

Sent it to Browning and they have had it for a year. I think it is almost done and we will see what it is like when I get it back~;)

VAGINA RAIL....you know as in a play on words, (Virginia-Vagina-Virginia-Vagina--heck I even said I was going to get in trouble with the "this is a family site" crowd for the corruption), since I also corrupted "Citori"?

Jeeeeeezzzz I woulda thunk that you being a Dr. type person and all, with almost (2) whole years of Jr. College under your belt would have gotten that......clearly spending your days expressing anal glands and checking prostrates has dulled your edge for discerning the "obtuse".....

And to make matters worse here you are admitting on a public forum that you walked INTO the woods with a gun and then walked OUT OF the woods without it but thought you had....that must have been one hell of a Turkey to befuddle you to that degree.....be interested to hear if the Browning folks were able to fix your "planter"....
