Almost five years later to the day, I just finished up the display this evening. It is almost exactly as Eric suggested in the very first reply on this thread.
Everything took quite a bit of time. The ducks did not cooperate quite as well as I had hoped and harvesting two mount-worthy specimens in the same area where I found the arrowhead took two seasons. The taxidermist did a fantastic job realizing my vision with the dead mount and he took quite a while as well.
I built the display myself. All dimensions were carefully thought out to fit the mount, arrow, and decoy. Everything is biscuited and glued, with trim-head screws in some strategic locations as well. I hunted and hunted for just the right piece of wood from which to hang the ducks.
The stones (and two shells) on the shelf came from the same exact beach on the island where I found the arrowhead.
Somehow this turned out entirely true to my vision. I couldn't be happier. It will bring me joy for many, many years and I hope that the Native American who launched that arrow with the arrowhead all those years ago would smile seeing it today.
