Blessed with the task of cleaning my driveway today. I'm about a third done and taking a break. It is wet and heavy, needs cleared soon before the temps drop to single digits on Monday.

Not sure of the total here but yard stick showed just shy of 17" on the deck rail. Shoveled the decks 3 times today. Snow is just stopping now. With a rock drive I'll be packing the snow tomorrow with the truck!Blessed with the task of cleaning my driveway today. I'm about a third done and taking a break. Cheater!I'll be packing the snow tomorrow with the truck!
Right now, thanks to the snow plow, I have 3 foot high pile at the end of the drive to move! And there's shooting from the river happening. ..Ugh!Cheater!
I got my drive all cleared with a 6hp walk behind blower. I measured 13 inches on a picnic table but think that was after the snow had settled a bit. At any rate, once the blower had dopped the snow, you weren't moving it again. I could only take about a six inch bite at the end of the drive where it meets the street. Even then the wheels would spin and I'd have to physically help the blower along. The rest of the drive went better but still about 3 times the normal time and effort to clean. A normal 3-4 inch snow is no big deal. This one was wet and heavy as well as deep.
I had help some times in previous years. The neighbor then, had a tractor mounted blower and would open up the end of the drive for me. He has since moved away.
