Hey-
This is our duck boat from start to finish. It's a 1973 Montgomery Ward 12 Ft. V-Hull. So ill show u just a few of the pictures, from the process. This year instead of paddling, I bought a Minnkota 44 Waterfowler Edition, and it pushes the boat pretty good.

-After paint, and homemade stenciling

-Blind 1, never hunted out of. It was too high, not quite as sturdy as I wanted, and PITA to fold down

-Current blind with Ghost Grass, it works good. We just tarp it when its getting pulled down the road.

Yet to do:
- Just bougth old boat trailer, so gotta paint that up (for two years just hauled it in back of truck!)
- Also a few little things left to do. Gunwall decoy bag, pop shell holders, gun rests,

What do you think?

That boat is everything I could have ever hoped for Phil. Big, strong, roomy and safe. It fishes remarkably well too.

Almost, maybe if I pick up the Scaup! The Core Sound does ride on the gunnels of the bow with room for four and myself in the stern.

Phil and Troy I really like the looks of the Scaup! How long is that boat? Phil is yours a little more rounded on the top sides than what Troy has? Or is it just the angle of the photo?
Been thinking about getting a boat that's meant to be hunted from, either a sneakbox or something similar to the Scaup, rather than dragging out the layout blinds all the time then having to anchor the boat far down the creek

Troy's Scaup appears to be made to print, which would be 16' and with a flat deck. I added 2" to gunnel height, made it 17' long, and as you noticed, the deck is elevated and rounded like a Banks or TDB. The top of the cockpit is 24" off the floor.
