I love it... Resting place brought to you by the "Department of Transportation".

Rhett,

Here is what I hunt out of - Devlin BB2 and Broadbill. Started with the one-person Broadbill, and upgraded to the 2-3 person BB2 to hunt with others. Love both boats.

This is my current main source of hunting. I am just starting some other projects that will hopefully be complete by season opener.

Come on Eric D, post up a pic of the Beast.

Brad Taylor,

I really like your boats and I notice that you like some others have headlights mounted on the bow. Do you use those all the time while running in the dark or are they just for when you arrive at your spot and are slowly maneuvering? I have discovered that except in the darkest night I prefer to let my eyes adjust to the dark, travel at medium speed up river and only use my hand held spotlight when I enter the tight little sloughs and such where we hunt.

The thing about this Duckboat site is that I get to see all different styles and types of duck hunting from every region in the US.

John...I like them, I like them even better if they're partially enclosed keeping any glare from reaching your eyes. I don't use them as a replacement for the spot light and, like you, often just let my eyes adjust to the dark. They are good however for aiming down at the water to see any potential obstructions also the fog lights work very well on foggy mornings when you're running along at low speed. Here's a boat I just finished and I enclosed the lights up front, this also gives me a place to mount the bow running light without fear of water making its way into the front compartment....

Thanks again for the kind words and hope this helps.

Hi Joe,

I bought a set of frames that were started and hacked away from there. There are some area on the hull and sail stiching that could have been better, but for the most part it came out okay.

She handles well under sail, oar, or gasoline.

Here are two pics showing the modifications to my TDB14. I have installed remote controls via my own "console-less design" and installed a power tilt/trim. It is SO NICE to not have to lean over the transom (or lack there of on this boat!) to run the tiller or wrestle the motor up when in the mud/sand.
