This Thursday-May 15 ***SPECIAL EVENT*** SW Michigan

posted sometime around T'giving.....there was a perfect line regarding just what we are talking about in it.....

At least you didn't try to deny it....

Steve

Paul,

You da man! And you know it. Any woman that has the guts to speak up to a bunch of guys with carving knives can...well, do what ever she wants...BawaaaaaaaHaHaHa!

Dave

Kristan,

My address is 5041 Fordham Ave, Kalamazoo, MI, 49048. Might ought to see if you can contact Bob Hayden from Blufton and bring him with you!

I will try to contact him...Are you planning this weekend or is this a future event....The way work is running I am more open to possible future events...I still am going home to Kentucky to hunt my home waters of Kentucky and Barkley Lake for the last few weekends of January...Would still love to carve with you guys...I have been a semi charter member of the MALARKY Carving group..Mississippi, Alabama, Arkansas, and Kentucky carvers...Still a neophyte myself though I do have about 30 + decoys under my belt still willing to learn from others on different carving styles....

Kristan,

Tell Steve he can make the trip and I have a quaint little cabin he could stay. Tell him its not far from the old place. Sure he remembers how to get up here.

For you guys needing to buy some cork, as Willy posted the prices are going up and so is the shipping. If you guys wanted to make a combined order, we coupld possibly get it all palletized and sent to a common carier. This should save some guys a few bucks. I could pick it up and have it here for yo. we'll be kicking this of after the first of the year.
Any interest?

Mark, always room for one more, and a free place for you to stay. If you're any relation to the VP bring him along, just let me know so I can get the guns locked up.

Well, with the holidays over, its time to get carving. I will have the shop open starting next Thursday, January 10 starting at 6pm so long as the weather cooperates. Lately the weather has been iffy around here, so keep an eye on it if you are thinking of coming. If you want to check the fore cast on your favorite weather site, my zip code is 49048.

Please post if you're thinking of coming so I have an idea. Due to the social nature of it, carving with hand-tools and other non noisy, non-dusty implements is preferred. I do have a bandsaw available to use, however, I am out of blades, and will not be getting more until I have s a few bucks to do so. If you want to use the saw, you will need to bring a blade. My saw runs 105" blades. It would be good for a few guys to bring some type of a snack to pass around if you want. Post up if you're planning on coming so we can get a head count. It doesn't matter even if its one guy, I'm going to be in the shop anyways. Please not that you don't have to carve to come . All are welcome. Please do not use private messaging to RSVP. Post here. Thanks

Paul

I'm in if we don't get snowed in again.....or iced in..my heart can't take going down the road sideways anymore. I'll have to find my knife, been so long since I carved that I don't know where I put it. I'll look in the shop, I may have a blade.

Paul,

Count me in. I've just got to rough out a head for the party:) This will be interesting carving without power. I've always been in the dust, not the chips.

See ya,

Dave

So shall it be spoken....so shall it be done.....

This should qualify me for "first right of refusal" on that "itchy duck" you're working....forget that guy on the Eastside of the State that indicated a desire for the same bird....he can't do neat stuff like "sticking" your threads......

Steve
Listen here... I know where somebody can stick... If nothing else, geography alone should give me dibbs... that was until the wife claimed it anyway!!! I would think you'd have a heck of a shot at #3 though!!!

We are on for this Thursday again. Starting at 6pm. I'm working on another special feature for this week. The movie from last week will be tough to top though.
