This Weekends "JakeFest"

With the boys home from college for the opening weekend we headed up to the Catskill Mountains for a couple of days.We each ended up putting a tag on a jake for our first bird,in NY you are allowed 2 tags for the spring season. What a GREAT weekend,and we attended a Sullivan County DU dinner on Sat night and won a nice print and decoy as well. We will be getting together at the end of the month to try and fill our second tags with longbeards. Jakes or longbeards or a walk in the woods, time spent with them is always a blast!! Although both of my boys are born and raised in the city, it sure is great to know that their respect and love for the woods and waters will remain with them always!!
