Trashy People

You know what, my patience has grown thin for scum of the earth thieves and low lifes. Went to our hunting property last week and some jerk decided the side of the road leading to our hunting property was a great place to dump his garbage. You know stuff like auto repair books, papers, old car parts, an old desk, a baby bed, among other crap. I sifted through the rubbish hoping to find some personal info and low and behold the miscreant threw away a pay stub and insurance policy. Called the county Environmtal Enforcement Officer and learned that he would be more than happy to send "Eric P Glover" a certified letter saying clean it up or they will take legal action. Here's hoping that letter makes Mr. Glover's day. Dirtbag.

I had someone dump their trash along my driveway once. I sifted through the trash and found some mail with the guy's name and address on it. I decided to pick up the trash and put it in my truck and deliver it back to the "original owner". You should have seen the look on the guys face when I backed into his front yard and returned his garbage...... I have never had this happen again!

way to go i love sticking to them too......
alot of that goes on up here as of late ,ive chased a fella in a cadilac towing a rickety old trailer trying to dump it over a bank ,,when i gave chase he hauled ass and then pulled over ,i watched him take the plate off the trailer and knife the tire and then i tried to keep up to him and there was no way ,i called the cops and they grabed him up and made him get rid of his junk the proper way...

I too have found names and called them in,,,, the catch 22 here ,,,,if its dumped on private property it is up to the owner to deal with it not dnr or police, realy frustrating...

I asked what if i picked it up and got rid of it,,police said not to touch it as if i was caught i would be responsible for the clean up,,darned if you do and dont...

Shingles are the worst man i had 2 giant loads dumped at the end of my camp road one winter...i draged a magnet over that area for months before i could drive thru it....

All in ALL good stuff
shermie...

LMAO.....Way to Eric!. I had a guy do that to me in Arkansas on the lane to my HOUSE! Did the same thing. Then I thanked him for cleaning up the mess he made in the opinon page of the local newspaper! I never seen a mess on any of the lanes around our area again.

Good job, Eric! Two weeks ago, I cleared the breasted-out carcasses of 3 Canada's off the bottom of the boat ramp that sits back in one of my favorite hunting soughs. In past years, someone has also considered it his private garbage dump for the remains of the deer he has taken, which I've also found floating around the bottom of the ramp. Would love to catch this guy at it someday. Might make for an interesting high speed chase with the boat trailer attached.

In the local Ohio Outdoor News they have a Cuffs and Collars section where they write some of the DNR arrests and tickets. They regularly bust people for dumping their garbage on state land with their identity in the garbage.

I guess these folks aren't too worried about identity theft!

Glad you're getting some satisfaction Eric.
My property has a dirt road running through it and I get tires, gas tanks, roofing, and other junk all the time. I once spent $200 to dispose of 100 tires. The next week I got another 50 or so donated to the property again!I caught a guy dumping brush from his landscape business and reported him to the police. When I checked on the progress of the case I was told it was resolved and the state of Pennsylvania had been paid a fine. I got to keep the trash!! Not sure how I'll handle the next person I catch.
Hang him high Eric, John

People dumping on public or pristine land is one of my top pet-peeves. My son and I once saw a guy from the concealment of our duck blind, pull within 30 yards of the public boat ramp we were using and rake construction/remodeling crap off the back of his pick-up. I guess he figured with it being so cold no one would be around and watching. I wish I could've made out his car tag. Unfortunately nothing in his trash revealed his identity. I say punish them to the full extent of the law!

No Eric it's a state road.
I think the problem is that so few people respect anyone else or their property. What can you expect in a country where the majority of people expect 2% of the people to pay their bills for them!! John

You should contact your local news station if you have more dumpers. One of our local stations drove around finding bags of garbage and went looking for the people. Made for some funny and very embarrassing TV. They/I thought it would be poorer people but it looked mostly like people who live way better off then they are. They must think they can save a little for their next toy that way.
Pretty funny when they knocked on doors and got the wife saying "He told me he took that to the work dumpster."
It did slow down the number of bags in the ditches around here for a few months. Then they had private dumpsters getting filled up by others and did the same thing again.

Congratulations on finding the dirt bag!!! It's bad enough when people throw trash from their cars while driving. This jerk thinks your property is his own personal dump. I hope the law sticks it to him good!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Eric, sorry for your recent problems. Hope they take care of this issue properly...and swiftly. It's sometimes hard to see any good in people anymore. Never stop looking!

That is one of my pet peeves people throwing trash or just as bad are the smokers who feel the world is there ashtray! Just gets my goat everytime I see someone throw a butt out or empty there ashtray out the window.
People have no respect for others these days.
Eric hope they get nailed to wall. If there is toxic waste of any kind they can get fined by the EPA and have to pay for additional clean up.

Mike gave me an idea. Eric, maybe you need to take your anti-freeze, used oil, and other hazardous waste and go put it with the trash that the guy dumped. This way, your hazmat will get hauled off and he will REALLY learn a lesson about dumping his waste.

I can't believe they are giving the low-life the chance to clean the mess up before they prosecute him. They ought to throw the book at him, then add on the clean-up costs to any other punishment.

Anyone remember "Alice's Restaurant"? Make the SOB sit on the Group W bench, and then clean up the garbage!
