Alright fellas, the time is here, time to decide which fine decoy will make the journey from coast to coast. We've got 13 stops planned, hopefully we'll see almost 2 dozen members get out hunting with this years decoy. Again, for those unfamiliar, when the season is all over, the decoy (signed by all participants) with the journal telling the tales of the journey will be auctioned off with funds going to keep this great site running.

Any and all duckboats.net members are encouraged to vote. Host hunters...well it goes without saying I'd better hear from you! For carvers, I encourage you to vote as well, but let's vote like gentlemen (don't vote for yourself!)

So, with out further a do, here are this year's choices:

Pete Revicki - Mallard drake:

Duane Ganser - Bluewing Teal hen:

Rich Hohler - Redhead drake:

Three ways to vote: Post here, send me a PM, or email me at TravelingDecoy@gmail.com

Voting will go from now until Midnight Paciffic time, Saturday, September 26th (4 AM EDT), Sunday, I'll tally the vote, announce the winner and contact that carver with shipping instructions.

Remember...Vote Early and Vote Often...

1 vote for Pat Gregory - Bluewing Teal pair

Dang I should have tried to get on the host list. They all look great.

I would love to hunt over the mallard drake so I'll vote for this one. All are beautiful decoys.

Chuck,
I vote for the Red Breasted Merganser! I am sure I can find a spot with the RI guys to hunt one of those......

OK. OK. If I had to chose for real I pick the Mallard only because we just dont see teal in december up here.

Those are some fine decoys to chose from and all the carvers did a great job this year. Any one of those birds would be a prize in my book.

That teal pair is awful nice, and may be enough encouragement to get me down to the southern Maine salt marshes where some teal stick around until late season while I'm hosting.

All the decoys look great to me, but I'm afraid that red head would look kind of lost out here--it won't find much company.

It would be nice to have a good old Mallard to throw out! Thanks offering the decoys fellas.....they are all gorgeous!

Any reason it can't be a "Traveling Rig" and use them all? Could raise more money for the site that way. They're all fantastic.

If it's not doable, then I'd have the say.........mallard.

Mike,

Shipping cost on a rig would be excessive...just ask anyone that had to pay the freight on that Sequoia log of a Blackduck last year.

Chuck

I too have to go with Pete's mallard. The blue wing teal are loooong gone by hunting season and we've only taken 1 redhead in the last 28 years.
