I had the opportunity to head back out west for a few days to avoid this heat that we have here. Had a great time meeting new faces, seeing new things, and just having a great time.
Derek Z, Steve and Loie getting started in the first one.

Jason/Steve - This is awesome! I appreciate what you're doing to spread and share the good news of decoy carving. Keep up the good work and God bless! Pat

I believe its a very close match to the boat in the pictures you posted of your Grandfather....

This one was built prior to the turn of the Century and according to the folks at Mystic Seaport is either from your general area or was built by someone from there.....

Steve

although if I don't get it over onto my side of the mtns Fred is going to lay claim to it under the "possession is 9/10th of the law" rule....

Rongers got the boat to Washington when he delivered a load of MLBBSB's last fall and Fred has been storing it in his barn ever since....

I'm still not sure what I'm going to do with it but it is a pretty piece of history.....

Steve

Throw it in your truck and haul it out here and we'll shoot rails out of it! Then you can store it in my garage! Water has gone down for now so there is plenty of time for a good stand of millet!

Steve,

A great bunch of decoys; a great looking boat!

Good to be retired.....now I have to get back to painting. Unfortunately. I'm painting rooms in the house. Seems my wife has a list....

Man, I hope I worked that weekend.......
Fred and Steve, let me know if there is a next time.
Steve, I saw that boat at Freds. Neat boat.
Fred, My pup is a handful. I should have taken one of yours.......
