A little different...I think I have the swivel part of the body-booting sillys figured out:

There is an 8" piece of 1" black pipe, with a cap buried in the 2x4 assembly, and the coupling on the bottom pulls it all snug. A 3/4" conduit slides nicely inside the pipe.

And here is a trio of deeks that should be heading across Indiana towards central Illinois as I type this:

last glaze got away from me and turned a little darker than I like for my green wings but he will gun and make his owner happy.

got some more work done on the prototype:

I know the proportions are a little off, as most body booting sillys seem to be. I struggled with the head, might be the body proportions are throwing off my perception on the head too. I was trying for something that would mask most of the gun and myself, but put the gun at a safer angle.

Chuck - thanks for sharing, I'm watching your progress on the body-booting rig with interest. I've been thinking about making a few next year for open-water diver hunting next year when family visits. Most of the time I just layout hunt them alone out of my Momarsh DP, but can't do that with three, and I'm thinking this might be a way to get everyone out and involved. Like you though, I was leery of where the guns would be pointing if we turned the silos. This might work real nice. Please do post up some pics of it in action and whether or not it worked for you.

PS - Bob, the minis are cool!
