I am still working on a bunch of NDR projects - re-building our Pump House, transplanting Water Lilies and Arrowheads to our Frog Pond - and hauling more bordering rocks for the same.


However, as usual, there is "DR" production From the Bench of George Williams....

George/DMM, is amazing.

Fine flock of gunning hen Gadwalls, from a decoying ducks eye view. [;)] The one that matters.

Most likely the drakes will be along shortly.

Played with my welder today. Got a good start on the frame but still have many more beads to weld. This will be a rolling frame to support my new lathe. Four inch swivel casters will give it mobility while two leveling jacks will anchor it when so desired. The tubing itself weighs 103 lbs and I plan to add about another 150-200lbs ballast. Plus the 110lbs for the lathe means the whole thing will weigh in at around 400lbs. I don't think I'll need to worry too much about excessive vibration and shake when roughing out an unbalanced log.

When everything is all done, there will be an upper frame attached, which will support two overhead LED shop lights.
 
Finally done. I called the local farmer's co op yesterday and they informed me that the panels came in 2+ weeks ago but nobody bothered to tell me. This will be daylight only for the next week or so to give everyone a chance to burn their powder. I'm not terribly concerned about gun shyness, as the pups hung out with me the whole time I was sawing, screwing, nailing, and cussing it together.

July appears to be a very creative & productive month so far with very good work.


A small watercolor sketch 5 1/2" X 8 1/2", of the long gone, PA Game Commission WILD WATERFOWL FARM building.

Some of us old timers recall it. Few photos and history concerning it remains, like the barn itself...

I wish I knew how to use sketch up. Just starting the learning process, but I need too many different sketch up skills (which I don't have yet) in order to draw up what I need in 3D mode. I reverted back to pencil and ruler for a top and front view. For a bit of trivia; my first "calculator" did not use a battery and was known as a slide rule. I might, just might, have to refer to the instructions before I could use one again. [;)]

Thanks for the observation, prince!! We shall see how the gray ducks like them this fall. I won't, but a fellow from southern delawhere should have fun with them.[angelic]
 
A broadbill out of cork. Just have to float and put a keel on it and then it?s off to become part of a rig.
