What's on your workbench? August 2023

Hi Steve, the epoxy is from u. s. composites . Its the 3 to one mix with medium hardener. The cloth is a 1208 biaxial which has a cloth and mat bonded together as one piece. Ive been using it quite often and am pleased with the results. Its good for repairs as well.

Joe-

Great shelf! Love your hooks. Could you bend them that far cold - or did you heat them in a vise?

All the best,

Thank you, Steve. I bent them cold by securing them in a vise and using a 3 lb sledgehammer applied gently to bend them to approximately 90 degrees. pre-drilled the holes in the wood and tapped them home.

Not on my workbench, rather the floor. This is the stack of 1500+ board feet of poplar that will become the walls upstairs at the shop. I've been milling lumber all summer and this is the last of it. Just need to finish pushing it in the planer and then milling the ship lap with the shaper. I've been making so much wood chips the neighbor complained about me dumping sawdust in the creek that splits our property. As soon as we get a heavy rain it will wash away but he wouldn't accept that (I've been doing this for 9 years and never had it not float away with a good gulley washer). I ended up renting a 20 yard dumpster to make him happy.
Once this done and the weather cools I'll be working upstairs getting it ready for the bead board ceiling. Might get it installed before hunting season. Just have to see how it goes.

Eric
