Workbench - November

Doing well here Brad...hope you're doing good too. How's the duck season going out there?

Denali? Probably not...it was on the radar before Covid, but that pretty much ruined any further climbing adventures with any guide services. The rules they have employed are ridiculous and the prices have gone out of control. We'll be climbing unguided from here on out. And Denali is a wee bit out of my experience level.

Had a decoy almost done. Getting ready for final sanding before setting eyes and sealing. Girlfriend had to go and knock it off the table. Told her if she had to pick a stage of the carving process to damage it; this was it.
Now the black duck is getting a rehab before it even leaves the bench

Hopefully will be a strong enough repair as was going to be a Christmas gift.

Senor George he does have raised primaries if you were wondering.

Twas learned long ago.

The closer a decoy is to completion (carving & painting) the greater the chance it WILL be damaged, aka ****ed up some how.

Therefore I now accept it as part of the process, and the learning curve. On occasion when it does not happen, it makes me wonder...

Best regards

Hey Greg...That's a very good possibility. I did make a few of them a while back.

What was question #1?

I was just getting away from the original thread. I'm going to take a picture of it and up it up separately so you can take a look.

better angled yhan butt joined. The nail inserts should help to strengthen. That one goes in YOUR rig!
