Does anyone fish out of there duck boat. More of a question for BBSB boat owners. I use to fish out of my 14ft TDB all the time. Just curious

Wish i had the wood working skills and place to build boats like some of you guys do. To hunt in a boat you built or totally rebuilt would be amazing. Like flyfishing and catching trout on flies you personally tied. Something about that feeling.

What are some of the dog friendly sneak boats as far as room and safety of were they are located during the hunt. Were is your dog when you are hunting. Behind you, on the side of you... Room for them under the canvas dodger but still be able to see there marks. This guy will always be with me.

Scott, i work in a metal fabrication shop progamming the laser cutting machine as well as the waterjet cutter and cnc punch. So aluminum is right up my alley... lol Not sure how shallow that boat drafts though. Low tide can get pretty shallow in some of my spots. We could push pole the TDB...

I like the ideas of the flip doors in the front. Not like the blinds on the TDB's were you have to stand and shoot. 14ft Classic blind comes up at an angle and narrows to much at the top. The duck boss is nice with those flip doors on the 13fter. That 15 looks awesome.

Colin that is a really nice boat. I like the looks of the Duck Boss boats. I get drawn to the boats like Craig F and Tom have for the same reason i like old side x sides for upland game. There is history in those boats. If the boat could only speak and tell the stories. But all fiberglass boats...

Very nice boats gents... I am torn on what to get. That is why i would like to know what you like about your boats. The way it hides, shallow draft, How it handle in the conditions you hunt. I want something that tucks up against the shore. The only open water i did with the TDB was hunting sea...

I agree with Tod. I have both cause i love hunting woodcock with a pointing dog. Other than that for pheasant and grouse a flushing dog is almost better to me. I never trained my lab for upland game which i am sure i could do if need be. Labs can be one of the best all around dogs for the upland...

I have both... Lab for duck and goose hunting and a shorthair for grouse and woodcock hunting.[image ]

All i can say is wow.... Same clicky atmostphere as some of the other forums. I am done posting. Not worth seeing the responses and getting aggravated. People just seem to argue and complain about everything. So much for a peaceful place to relax and enjoy post about duckboats and duckboat...

Hate to say it but i wish all builders would show there product being built and show them on this forum. That is a lot of the reason i enjoy the forum is seeing duckboats, home built or production ones. Its all good.

Well i for one am looking forward to seeing the completion of this boat and seeing what the final cost will be. If its in my budget i will be getting one.

Went thru some very hard times this past season and did not even get a chance to duck hunt. When i left i was in the process of buying a used Chuck Huff BBSB at the time from a very nice gentlemen on this forum. Now that i am back on my feet in the duck hunting world i am looking for this style...
