Say Hello to Brock William Story

Thanks to all for the thoughts and prayers for our new little one. We welcomed him into this world on Monday Sept. 17th. I tried to get my wife to hold out for a ten pounder (she was not amused), but he came out a healthy 8lb 13oz. We give Thanks to the LORD for a healthy momma and baby...

    Dog question??

Tell me more about your dog? Breed, age, weight, level of activity....In general, most of my patients weighing less than 20 lbs I would chose conservative treatment, cage rest and pain meds for 6 wks. In greater than 40 lbs and especially active hunting kids, I would vote for TPLO surgery...

    Update!!Baby prayer request

Thank you all for your prayers! The LORD took care of "Brock" and todays u/s looked normal! No need to go to the specialist. From our family to yours-Thank You! Of course I'll be sticking my fingers in his mouth examining him when he comes out, but this is great news for us. It was...

    Update!!Baby prayer request

We are expecting our 2nd baby boy next month and our ultrasound last week showed a possible cleft lip/palate. The couldn't tell for sure because his hand was over part of his face. The Doc didn't think that much of it at the time. We go back for another u/s Thurs. and have an appointment next...

    Duck dog in trouble...

Rich, I'm a vet and would recommend being aggressive with getting the cobs out surgically. I don't think you will have much luck getting things of that size with an endoscope. I worry that the cobs will compromise the blood supply to the gut. I've seen this and had to remove about 15 inches...

    Opinions on Benelli M2

Thanks for the replies. Steve-I'll buy you a beer anytime.......My upgrade is from my 870 to a semiauto. I love my 870, but since I WON the Pitboss seaduck hunt, I'm looking for an extra gun and a good one. Thanks. Brian

    Opinions on Benelli M2

Looking at a shotgun upgrade this year. Anyone using the Benelli M2? Pros/cons? I don't need the 3 1/2 inch in the SBE. Thanks for any and all inputs. Brian

    Hey, Brian Story, Congrats!!

THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!! Shawn Hollis and I were talking about it 3-4 weeks ago, like we wondered who won because we hadn't seen anything. We guessed it wasn't us since we didn't hear anything. Then Brandon Sivley (Flat Creek Kennels) calls me and tells me I WON! I couldn't...

Say Hello To My Little Friend (pics)

She looks great Eric, but mine is prettier.....Rosie's official name is "Ready's Wild Rose". She is sleeping next to me in the office right now. I don't know if you heard, but I won the Pitboss raffle!!!!! 1st place! I've never won anything before!!!! Nice of Jeff to make this offer...

    Itchy Dog

Many reasons for dog allergies. In a nut-shell, I would increase the quality of his food (I like Eukanuba), go to non-beef protein (many dogs are allergic to beef, corn, and wheat), fatty acid supplement is great (omega-3 and 6). I like antihistimines, chorepheneramine 4mg per 50 lbs twice...

Puppies Hit Five Weeks Old (lots O' pics and a vid)

Eric, How are the pups doing? Any left? We LOVE our "Rosie" pup. I know I'm a biased dad, but she is SMART! A whistle with a treat and you better watch out, because she will come arunning and knock you down. She is sleeping in my office now. Doing very well on house breaking for a 7 wk old...

Puppies Hit Five Weeks Old (lots O' pics and a vid)

Just finished going over Cassie's pups and man they look good. They received their first round of vaccines and another deworming (even though we have never seen worm issues). Still not a bad pup in the litter. I picked out a female and she just finished eating and is asleep in my office...

    NDR opinions on portable sawmills

Thanks for the info on the Lucas. Do you all think it will also do a good job on smaller 20 inch logs (like Bodac). I really like that it can handle the big stuff. My in-laws have some land and it has some old growth cypress on it that I'd love to "borrow". Brian

    NDR opinions on portable sawmills

I just filled out the info. to get a brochure/video from Bailey's. Good looking design, but looks like it starts out around 7500. I'm going to have to spay alot of dawgs for that kind of cash!

    NDR opinions on portable sawmills

Just starting to look at portable mills. Anyone use the Oscar 228 and have any comments/suggestions? Not trying to cut the forest down, just selecting a few trees here and there. Thanks. Brian Hud-Son saw mills stand apart from the rest - Standard Features: •28" Diameter...

    NDR Dogs and rocks

I have surgically removed landscape rocks from a clients lab-mix twice in the past 16 months. The rocks would get through the stomach and then get stuck further down in the small intestines. He now wears a muzzle (like at the greyhound track) anytime he goes outside. Crate/kennel may be best...

More Puppy pics. Lots of them!

Glad we could make it over Eric. We were trying to narrow down the perfect pup, but I think all 12 looked and acted perfect! You could tell they have been socialized from day 1. Cassie has done a great job! These pups should make anyone a great hunting and family dog. Sorry Parker Hale was...
