Bill, See if you can get in touch with Bill Wasson. I know he uses it as a sealer. On his advice I used it on some BSC blacks and it worked well, but I didn't paint over it.

Looked at and handled one this weekend with the sales rep there. Overall, neat ideas to it but they didnt catch me. Styling is kind of weird but it's a duck un so I dont care. Stock is short but with a couple of layers I think I would be ok. Three piece concept good, makes for easy...

I'm not sure how much weight you'll save going with Fiberglass construction. If your only going to build a few than plywood and tape may be your best bet. Chopped glass and gelcoats have a fairly large learning curve, and some specialized tools. Wouldnt you rather have wood anyway?:)
