    Gun Dipping

Tom, You can box the gun up yourself and ship it to the same places Gander would be dealing with, and probably save yourself money. This outfit looks to be having a sale, and is one of the more well known and respected: http://www.camo-solutions.com/ This is another one I've heard...

    Gun Dipping

Gander Mountain does not do it inhouse. They send it out to a subcontractor. A Google search for "camo dipping" should point you in the right direction.

Anyone have any success smoking a goose?

I've never smoked a whole goose, but I've smoked many breasts after brining them. Between the brine and the smoking, they were moist and tender. Many a civilian has eaten it and liked it.

    Toledo Decoy Co

I should also make a correction. Tom's decoys are not Styrofoam. They are urethane foam; the two-part kind. Much tougher and denser than Styrofoam.

    Toledo Decoy Co

They are outstanding decoys. Large magnum size, burlapped bodies, heavy density heads, nice paint jobs. Tom is a good guy to deal with.

    Duck/Goose Burgers?

I've ground up goose breast on more than one occasion and made patties out of them. Did them in a pan with a little olive oil, onion salt, garlic salt, and pepper. I enjoyed them!

??? UV- Paints - Watched a show that had that stuff on it this AM

The easiest way to think about it is: the lighter the color, the more UV reflectance. So lighter colors on mallards, like the gray on the drakes, especially the side pockets, and the lighter part of the feather on hens, reflects more. Part of UVision's patent is that they "adjust" the level of...

??? UV- Paints - Watched a show that had that stuff on it this AM

Dave, When I was the national sales manager for Flambeau Outdoors, I learned more about it than anyone should. I spent a good deal of time with one of the principals of Twilight Labs, the folks who developed, patented, and market the UVision line of paints. If you saw photos showing a gray...

Mike, thanks for the heads up. The guy with the saw said it has a 110 volt motor.

Need some help from the Bandsaw experts...

Just talked to a local outfit that will make them custom for about $25.00 - $30.00 in that length. That seems reasonable to me.

Thanks Dave. The seller says the blade length is 123.5". Is that a fairly normal blade length?

I have the chance to buy this saw. It's a little ways away, so I don't want to waste a trip if it's junk. Anyone recognize it or who the manufacturer is? http://www.ohiowaterfowler.com/2011Photos/Bandsaw1.jpg http://www.ohiowaterfowler.com/2011Photos/Bandsaw2.jpg...
