One step further...

Had a minute today to work on my offering for the swap. Roughed it out and glued the head on. Lots more shaping to do, then sand it smooth, and on to burlap.

I already put one together with wire and it worked great. My plan is to fillet the seams inside and use just one layer of 4" tape over the fillet. The outside will get 6oz. cloth. I posted pics on another post.

We slapped a box together today. The bottom and sides are 1/4"mahagony and the ends are 1/4" baltic birch underlayment. It will get filleted and taped on the inside and clothed on the outside. It will be towed behind the boat with a couple bags of decoys in it.

Chris, the ducks taste funny on the west side of the state! :) I would recommend eastern washington. The lake I live on has some excellent large and smallmouth fishing and good mixed bag opportunities at waterfowl!

Sweet! The first 12 ga. that I ever shot was my dad's (actually, my grandpa's) Belgium A-5 with the engraving and gold plated trigger!!! I loved that gun!
