Too much of the purple bag can come back to haunt you ..............

    Editor Fired

Hopefully they can make a turnaround to their former self. Have seen a steady decline in that publication over the past 5-6 years. Really miss Worth's articles.

    wildfowl magazine

I still subscribe to Wildfowl but agree it is nothing like it was under prior ownership. Really miss reading Worth's articles like everyone else noted. It is much more of a product marketing oriented publication now and not a "true waterfowler" magazine. Saw that shift about 4-5 years ago. Also...

    Pit blind

The pit looks really nice. Will be in the market for one shortly. Instead of silicone for the joint sealer, you may want to look at either urethane or the 3M Panel Bond Adhesive.

American Arms 10 gauge o/u what ya think?

I have one of the AA 10g. O/U for about 10 years. It is a neat gun, haven't seen any other 10G O/Us. Like Mike said, the triggers can pinch some and the recoil is what you would expect in a 10G. The price sounds good, I paid about $450.00 when I purhased mine years ago and that was a good deal...

    IKE

I was sure hopeing that Ike would go due west to Mexico but it doesn't look like it. Brazoria county is the first one to call for evac orders. State is already staging DPS troopers in the Beeville area to get ready. Prayers for everyone in the mid-coast area.

    Breathable chest wader recommendation.

I've had good luck with the LaCrosse Alpha Swamp Fox breathables. The have been rugged enough to be going on their 3rd season with no problems. Breathables sure make early season more comfortable down here in the South. Early season is a camo T-shirt and a pair of breathables.

    training collar

I would stay with either a Tri-tronics or Dogtra. Both are good quality collars. I have run Tri-tronics for about 10 years and their customer service is the best I have encountered with any product. There are more "economical " brands out there, but you will get what you pay for. One of...

    Still some Ducks Down South

In central Texas large numbers of BW teal arrived last week. Black Belly Tree Ducks showed up about 3 weeks ago. They nest and summer here along with some of the wood ducks. A fair number of Gadwall are still around and even saw a flock of Redheads in my wetlands. They seemed out of place in 6"...

    Bog Hod Mud Motors?

Rick You may want to ask about that motor at mudmotortalk.com. They are the mud motor gurus and don't seem to have a shortage of opinions .

    Texas Rigged Dekes

Matt The heavy mono is a stiffer line and will not be nearly as likley to tangle as compared to traditional decoy cord. It is best to hang them to keep the mono from getting a memory. Mine are hanging from the rafters of my decoy shed. Also I use the double sleve brass crimps. They...

    Texas Rigged Dekes

The only drawback is you will never get to spend time re-rigging them again . LOL

    Flyway Highway

Thanks Worth for confronting those two individuals responsible for that program. Hopefully the one that was interested in the feedback will take your advice to heart. IMO In its current format Flyway Highway need to be grounded. Granted the guys have a gig that is sucessful for them but...

    Seaducks in North AL?

I had an oldsquaw hen show up on my deer lease in the Texas Hill country about 15 years ago. There is a flock of them that show up in Baffin Bay (Corpus Christi) every year. Know of a number of people that have seen them. Last year a game warden friend of mine saw a pair of Surfs on a power...

Need you folks to keep eyes open......stolen decoys

Only the lowest form of life steals and ones that steal decoys are even lower than that ! I hate a thief. Hope the decoys are recovered quickly and the culprit deal with to the maximum extent of the law. Grorge is correct, they should be covered under a homeowners policy - personal property...

Anyone tried Federal BlackCloud Ammo ?

I hear those White Wings die hard ! Should be a good test. Come this Saturday I'll be shooting Drylocks at our "raunchy in-land ducks". LOL Take care and shoot straight.

Anyone tried Federal BlackCloud Ammo ?

Thanks for your detailed response. Let me know what you think of it at the end of season, especially if you get to use it on some of those Scoters. Take care and shoot straight.
