    mulch anyone?

Thanks, my response was from personal experience. We have a property in north Alabama with many walnut trees. We have had to research what flowers and shrubs will live under them, the first go round before research was not successful. I know that the leaf litter is the major problem, I just...

My 2 cents worth- if screwed only, if it fails, it will fail at the worst possible time, possibly in a life threatening situation. I'd bolt it on

    Boat Soup

While it doesnt help with your choice of finishes, Irish Spring soap, the original one, does deter mice. We have a seasonal use cabin and have always had a problem with mice in the closets over the winter. We now cut up bars of Irish Spring and put them in several places in every closet. not...

    Wood kiln

what size wood are you talking about? Only small blocks to make decoys with? If so, you can use what some woodturners use, and old dishwasher with a light bulb for a heat source. Its insulated and has racks where you can put the blanks

    Grass on a budget

Cattails work well. However, they will cut you if you grab them with your bare hand. If you have or can get a copy of Zac Taylor's Successful Waterfowling he describes how to make mats for camo with natural materials.

"Transom Saver" on a sneakbox rig

The whole boat moving is ok. I think that if you use a bungee cord on the motor it will still move. Strap would be better to me

"Transom Saver" on a sneakbox rig

A combination of both (TS and strap) would be my choice. Also, if your boat is bouncing it needs to be strapped down tighter in my opinion

    Varmints, or more accurately "vermin"...

Believe it or not, bur Irish Spring soap is a very good mouse deterrent. We have a summer cabin and the mice take it over in the winter. We take original Irish Spring, cut it into chunks and put it the areas the mice liked to use. Not 100% but about 95% effective in keeping them away.
