    stealth 2000 stabile for hunting?

My Dad has the 2000. As the others said, it is a bit heavy but one man can load it in the back of a pickup. They are also amazingly stable. You can stand on the sides or climb in from wading depths and it will not flip. They also paddle very easily for their size.

    New Guy, "New" Old Boat

Thanks a lot guys! It sure has been a fun project for sure! As for the foot pedals, they do fold flat, all that needs to be done is unhooking the cables from the motor. The beer in the picture is Red Stripe, countless others were put into the work too. A Jeep problem is a good problem to have...

    New Guy, "New" Old Boat

After paint we started working on the throttle control and steering. We ended up cutting the motor shaft and mounting the stock throttle in the cockpit. To be able to remove the trolling motor we used a trailer plug (you can see it in the transom piece) and hard wired the throttle control in the...

    New Guy, "New" Old Boat

Next, after getting a free trolling motor from my dad, the plan was to build a transom so we could remove the motor for transport. Foot pedal steering and throttle control in the cockpit was planned too. Mocking up the trolling motor and transom Hole cut to remove cracked fiberglass...

    New Guy, "New" Old Boat

Hey guys, Nick here from Eastern NC. I'll start this off saying I'm a broke college student trying to hunt every chance I get but I've been relying on friends to be able to go. This summer I set out for a boat that I could easily throw on top of my Jeep and get around the local rivers and...

Another vote for Popcorn. It's something different that not many people would think of when naming a decoy. I like it!!

Super light and portable layout options?

Check out these Creek Boats. The 8' M-80 model only weighs 36lbs and the 9'6" M-96 Model only weighs 42 pounds. Very affordable price at $400 for the M-80 and $460 for the M-96. If I didn't already have a boat I would definitely be looking at these. http://www.creekboats.com/CB_Home.htm

    Car-top duck boat suggestions???

I have hauled a 11'6 Pelican Kayak on top of my Jeep a few times. It is very easy to load with one person but you are limited to what you can haul. I could carry myself, gun, about 6 decoys, and a backpack. It works great for those quick trips by yourself though! Here is a pic of it loaded down...

Thought about buying a Jeep Cj?

Im new to the forum but the word Jeep perks my ears. I have a 95 YJ with the 4.0, I love it but it sure does get tiring after driving long distances. Jeeps are not known for driving great but they sure are fun!! I would recommend getting one any day! Here's a pic of mine after a quick hunt last...
