a good day to die

I've known this day was coming, known for over a year. Today it was time. Time to say goodbye, time to thank her for all the years of good memories, unwavering love and companionship.

It's the little things I'll miss the most; how she enjoyed fishing almost as much as I do, how she would lay her head on my shoulder as she sat behind my head while duck hunting. How she would hear me get up in the morning and be waiting by the kitchen door to be let in, while I fixed us some breakfast.

Her first day with me.

Our last day together. She always did enjoy a good head rub. RIP Ginger, you will be missed.

My sincere condolences. I hate days like these, but without them, we would miss out on all the good days and good times.

Sorry Dave, it?s the worst part about having a dog companion. In due time you?ll need another pup.

Awww Dave, I am so sorry to hear this. She was a pretty pretty girl.

Dave, I am so happy that you had Ginger to help you celebrate life. When you said that she loved fishing just as much as you did, that told me a lot about the two of you. I do understand about your loss and how difficult it is to even think of trying to adjust seems way beyond the scope of things. Your choices of photos were special and I thank you for sharing them with us.

May those wonderful memories of Ginger never leave you. Thank God, for He has given us time to heal.
Al
