April Workbench

fine looking work Ben, what kind of wood is that.
The body I believe was basswood and the head is Tupelo. Wasn't labeled so going by how they carved and from what I typically use that would be in the scrap pile that I pulled from.
 
@Matthias will have to verify if I did a good job on this miniature chestnut teal.

Wife has a friend in Australia and was sending some things to her in a package to cut shipping costs for the things she wanted that are in the states and had a little spot left in the box and my wife wanted something to add as a gift, so I told I could carve a Australian duck to fit the bill.

I'm no expert, but I reckon that looks spot on, top job benp.
Next time I'm down in the Royal National Park I'll keep my eye out and see if I can't snap a few pics of one in the "wild".
