After hunting ducks for 30 years in the marsh for the first time in my life I will be a farm hunter this year. No boat is needed; no way to get a boat out to most of these farms. However, it's quite a walk, 1/2 mile or more to some of these spots, over what could at times be somewhat soft ground, but nothing like marsh. A lot of folks use ATV'S; I really can't see getting yet another engine I've got to maintain just for that but I've thought about either buying or building a light little cart that I can pull behind me to haul all my stuff out there. Years ago I had a spot in California we used to walk quite a ways to and just backpacked everything but I had lightweight dekes and all back then and was in better shape. Not wanting to re-invent the wheel, knowing some of y'all are farm hunters, I imagine someone out there knows what I'm talking about and can give me some pointers. I would think a little low cart could also be a layout blind, sort of a layout boat on wheels? Any ideas?
