Hipsters are going hunting

I thought hipsters were too cool to follow trends

That is what they want you to think.

As long as we are talking hipsters and I'm obviously ignorant... When they are deer hunting do they have problems with that long chain that their wallets are on dragging across their tree stand or snagging on brush when still hunting?

No, but they get special chains dipped in camo plier dip to keep the jangling to a minimum.

I didn't think hipsters did anything useful like dipping stuff in plier dip - see how little I know.

I didn't realize anyone outside motorcycle movies wore their wallets on chains...see how little I know!

I'm suprised that we haven't brought any hipsters out of the woodwork defending themselves against all this misinformation. :).

I'm quite sure no hipster would be caught dead reading the DHBP...or at least admit to it!

Hey. Hey.....be careful. Don't want to piss off any Harley riders with the chained wallet remark. I guess I'm a bit ignorant too. Here I thought a hipster wore a black beret, black turtle neck shirt, black slacks and pointy black shoes saying stuff like "Groovy Man"

No, hipsters aren't like that anymore. There is a wikipedia entry on the contemporary hipster. Says right there that they are to cool to identify with the term hipster as a label, so I was right on one front.

Hipster is a term popularly used to denote a contemporary youth subculture in North America and Europe primarily consisting of Millenials living in urban areas.[1] The subculture has been described as a "mutating, trans-Atlantic melting pot of styles, tastes and behavior"[2] and is broadly associated with indie and alternative music, a varied non-mainstream fashion sensibility (including vintage and thrift store-bought clothes), progressive or independent political views, organic or artisanal foods, and alternative lifestyles.[3][4][5] Hipsters are stereotypically described as affluent or middle class young Bohemians who reside in gentrifying neighborhoods.[6][7] The term in its current usage first appeared in the 1990s and became particularly prominent in the 2010s,[8] being derived from earlier movements in the 1940s.[citation needed] Members of the subculture do not self-identify as hipsters, and the word "hipster" is often used as a pejorative to describe someone who is overly trendy or effete.[9][6] Some critics contend that the notion of the contemporary hipster is actually a myth created by marketing. [10]

My daughter told me I look like a hipster because I wear Sperry boat shoes. I didn't know they wore them. The next time I was on campus I did notice how many "hipsters" were wearing them.
Does that make me a hipster, please tell me no, lol

LOL....it boggles the mind!

There's a huge farm to table movement going on right now...lots of folks are raising their own chickens, growing their own gardens, and procuring their own meats. A lot of these "hipsters" straddle the fence between organic and vegetarian, so if they're going to choose the route that strengthens hunters' numbers and voice, I see nothing wrong with it.
