I think what Frank meant is that if you are required to use a suppressor and the suppressor must be registered, it is a backdoor way to gain registration of all firearms. I was thinking the same.
Yes, I was aware of that. But, without a suppressor on it, my shotgun is not registered. Technically, no one knows I have it or how many I have. But, once the gun is altered to accept a suppressor, it is required to be registered. Essentially, it's back door registration of sporting arms.
