Let's get this puppy going!

Working on a scaup project that will be migrating to New Jersey. I am very pleased with the rig. Bodies are Michigan white cedar and heads Wisconsin white pine. Post up your November work!!! And, Godspeed on the marsh, in the field and on the broadwater... Pat

Also, I used a wet on wet technique of blending some green into the heads of the drakes. I coated the black onto the entire head and neck area. While wet, I took green paint from my pallet and stippled it into the black paint until I got the effect I wanted. The strength of this technique is the green paint dries uniformly with the black and, it hardens as essentially, one paint. Try it if you like. It's simple to do. Compliments of the great Mike Lashbrook...

Very nice! I just love bluebill decoys. I need to carve some more foam and break out the burlap.

Nice bills Pat. Hard to think of divers when the temps are in the 70's. Im using the time away from the river to finish up this pair.

Just completed addition to my collection of frond pickleweeds:

Nice Rig Pat.......!

Bob, now that's a serious Pickleweed!

This is literally on the bench. Lots of wet paint here........

Kris, Thanks for the compliment. I know Marty and on my best day couldnt carve or paint like he can... but I'll take it. Actually I like the back painting on the hen as the best part of the pair. They need a wash coat and some final touches .

A canvasback I just finished up
