Mike, that DI looks awesome. I’m looking to get a blind made like that for next season. Right now my set up is a new db13 with a spray shield and flaps. I have a 30 hp on the back. Also the on the fly jack plate is a great idea. I will be adding that
I’ve hunted a South Bay the pass 20 years. It’s my favorite boat. Only problem was I can’t bring a friend and my dog. The Duck boss in my opinion is perfect for hunting the great South Bay marsh. It hunts just as low as a South Bay, rides better than a South Bay and everything is fiberglass! Not to mention having a transom built into the boat is a huge plus for strength. I snapped several transoms on my South Bay. They were professionally built. The pros of the duck boss
1. All fiber glass construction
2. Low profile
3. Strong transom with well bilge system
4. Hunts two 200lb guys and a 90lb lab easy
Only real Con is the draw is about 2” deeper then a South Bay. I’m 28 years old I can drag that boat out of any hole. What sucks is it has a long shaft transom. So the longshaft does not work well in shallow drive. But easy fix for next season is an on the fly jack plate. Should be mint after that
