Peripherally Duck Related: 3D printed boat

Very cool. Imagine the time and physical energy that would be saved making a mold for a fiberglass boat. I want one. The 3-D printer that is. I think it would take too long to build a sneakbox or mold from my two Makerbots.

Finally got a duck boat for this season!

I hadn't seen one of those hulls before. That is a cool looking boat. Best of luck this year hunting out of it. Be safe, stay warm, shoot straight. Once you tie on your fast grass sheets and do a little paint blending, you can always (if allowed per your local ordinance) add some of the...

    Tuckerton Duck And Decoy Show?

Greg- That's the place. There is parking at both Tip Seaman Park and Tuckerton Seaport Museum. Those locations are within walking distance of each other. There are places to park in town as some people rent out their driveway or lawns for parking. There is also a shuttle bus service for...

    Picked up my new Estuary....

Congrats on the new boat Chris. I have desired an Estuary for quite some time. They are beautiful boats. If my long term plan has me staying in NJ, I will certainly own one in a few more years. Best of luck. cja

Dare I say I am back?

Thanks Mike. It was good catching up a bit at Tuckerton. Even though I wasn't hunting, I still made the drive down to the show to kick around a little and see some of the guys. Carl, thanks for the welcome back. I have dragged my feet long enough on the girls hunting. MY youngest has been...

Dare I say I am back?

It has been quite some time since I have posted here, almost 2 years I think. Some here may remember me, some may not, and others may have been glad I haven't posted in a while. (Hopefully that last part really isn't true because I wouldn't want to have that type of legacy.) Well, lots of...

    Starting them young

I loved everyone of those pictures. I can understand the big hug on that Canada with the collar. The hare photo was great, had me thinking about how tasty that guy probably was. Rabbit is probably my favorite. But, I must say, that photo of your boy sitting in the field with his "gun" and a...

    OB Fuel line question

Mine is setup like Capt Jeff and Bob Welsh. I have a 15' boat. The tank is in the bow. I ran a fuel hose from the bow to the stern inside of a 3/4" pvc conduit. At the transom and below the rear deck, the fuel line runs into a water/fuel separator. From the filter, the fuel hose runs to a...

    Nj South Zone Opener

Sorry I didn't get to catch up with you on Saturday. I thought about letting some air out of your truck tires, but dad said I wasn't allowed. Maybe next time. Will you be able to meet up with us this weekend too? Chad A

NDR: Hank Shaw - Buck, Buck, Moose....

I have both of Hank's books and really enjoy them. There is quite a bit of information in those things than just recipes. On his tour for Duck, Duck, Goose, he made a stop in Philadelphia. I missed the opportunity to go, although I had discussed it as a night out with the Mrs. I am going to...

Waterfowling Thought for today - Logging your waterfowling...

Great point Shawn! As I recall, that was the last hunt of the Coastal Zone last year. You, Connor (as you seem to call him), Tyler and I. That is a brief story that Pat would love. Pat- On one occasion Tyler and I had made a quick stop into the local Harbor Freight. While at the...

Waterfowling Thought for today - Logging your waterfowling...

Years ago when I started my first job after college I began running with an older colleague. He had the same approach to running. He logged his miles, the day, the weather, distance, route, and who he ran with. He typically added a brief narrative. I found it inspirational as he had several log...

    Sora rail hunt on YouTube

Rick, I really appreciate you sharing that video. I have thought about giving rail bird hunting a try because of the tradition here in SJ. Plus any reason to hang out in the marsh in a boat exploring is good enough for me. I agree on the orange bird marking dummies. That is a great idea...

    First Post

Congrats Collin, er. . . Connor. Glad to have you here. Maybe you can help keep your dad in line. There are some good memories in some of those photos for me too. Hope you are enjoying school. Study hard and make sure you get back here to spend some time in the blind over Christmas break...

    Decoy Killers...

I have had the fortune to hunt with Shawn quite a bit last season and hope to do the same this season. I have also got to witness the shooter Shawn is referencing. I can assure you this is a tongue-in-cheek question as Shawn and the shooter are good friends. Heck, I have had the shooter in my...

    Blue winged beauties...

Pat- Great photos. It sure looks like a real good time and would appear that Lord has blessed your guys this year. I know Tyler and I would love to make it back to hunt with you again. I am sure I can speak for Mike as well. Tyler and I will be floating the your GWT that you had carved for...

Mighty Layout Boys products back in production

Mike- Thanks for posting those photos. That is a pretty neat looking boat. Very low profile. I wonder what the draft is. The stats claim the boat is 28" tall to the top of the cockpit combing. The boat sure looks lower than that on the water. For a multi-hunter rig, I think I would want a...
