    Layout cradle

Steve, After our test run, I can see where a jet prop would come in handy! And of course, I could ALWAYS use a bigger boat!! Brian

Does this look like ringworm to you?

I like Royal Canin Duck and Potatoe or Eukanuba Fish and Potatoe (F/P) for my food allergy trials. Feed for at least 6 weeks with nothing else going into the dogs mouth (good luck). Another good product is Atopica (cyclosporin) for dogs that keep breaking through the antibiotic/steroid...

Does this look like ringworm to you?

Looks like a secondary staph infection from an allergy. Cephalexin and pred would be my normal course. Allergy could be food, contact (plastic bowls), or enviromental inhaled allergins (pine pollen in the south). Keep us updated. Brian

    Cal's first hunt

Great hunt! I keep pumping the hunts up to my 3 year old about all the good food we eat and sometimes we even get to see some ducks. I plan on taking him this year on the warmer afternoons. I'll have him blowing a Shawn Hollis call over some Jason Russell gadwalls and hopefully have the...

My hunting dog doing Mission work

I was talking with Eric and he thought you all might enjoy this video on my girl RoRo. She made the 6 pm local news a few weeks ago! Rosie is doing great. OFA hips came back good and elbows normal. Sent in PRA Optigen for eyes and she is clear. Plan on getting her HRCH this fall if things...

    7 year old decoy

Mr. Jason, You (or Grayson) owe me a Bufflehead decoy! I just finished making one and after seeing Grayson's piece of art, I went straight to the dumpster and threw it away!! Mine looks like dog poop compared to Grayson's. GREAT JOB GRAYSON!! Bring both of them up this winter and...

    Question for the doggie docs?

Hey Kevin, I'd get some blood work and check for diabetes, kidney issues, and possibly cushings. On any meds now? Had any steroids/cortisone lately? That will get them drinking sometimes. Hope it turns out to be nothing. Keep us informed. Brian

Thoughts on cypress board flooring in aluminum boat

Thanks. Dave that is what Shawn Hollis and I were talking about, looks like it works well. I want as little screws into the ribs as possible, but also want little to no vibration noise. Thinking about the widest boards (maybe 12") on the outside edges, screwing them down securely, and glueing...

Thoughts on cypress board flooring in aluminum boat

Just bought a new 1860 Weldbuilt tunnel. Wide open, nothing but a small front deck and 2 seat pods in the rear. Considering putting down cypress planks for the floor. I can easily get 4, 6, or 8 inch widths in 4/4 thickness. Ribs are roughly 10" apart. Thoughts on the best board width and...

stick steer converted to side console?

Looking at a new boat. Like the hull, but he has a 60 mercury stick steer. How tough/expensive is it to make it a side console? Worth the trouble or keep looking? Thanks. Brian

    Dog Question?

Pete, I agree with John on trimming and Gentocin spray. The Gentocin spray has an antibiotic, cortisone, and drying agents to help out "hot spots". The moist dermatits is common behind the fore legs. Disclaimer: I ain't looking at your dog, so I can't tell for sure from Alabama. Heck...

Boat Grassing Redux (Yo Andrew Pics)

John, If you don't mind, I'll keep an eye on Gus for the future. Rosie (out of Eric's Cassie) just got her seasoned title this past fall. We plan to hunt the fire out of her this winter and get her finished title next year (we'll see). After she gets her HRCH and maybe a MH and passes all...

What type cameras are you guys using?

Looking at getting a new camera in the 500-600 range. Not trying to get that fancy, just want a FAST digital point and shoot. Mainly for the family, but might sneak it to the river every now and then! Any recommendations? Thanks. Brian

I'm going to try and make it to Brandon's event Saturday night. Wish I could make it out Thurs. and Friday. Brandon is running 3 dogs in it. Hopefully my "Rosie" will be there in 3 or 4 years! She got her seasoned title this past weekend. Here's a link on Brandon's benefit dinner...
