    Ducks Staying In Canada

I'm not quite in Canada, but there are always buttloads of mallards and divers on every opening on any given river or hotspring, especially the mighty miss. PW

Interior / Exterior Home Decorating Ideas......

I would agree - Can's are "the" duck. They call them the King of the Ducks for a reason... because they are!!! That said, as a Minnesotan, I love Bluebills a whole awful lot...

    Ingrates? NDR

People are so dumb. It ruins it for people like me who ask with the best intentions. "No, sorry, we got screwed by so and so and such and such deer hunters so we don't let anyone hunt anymore" Sad.

Blessing of the Fleet for the 2015-16 Season

A good blessing to have. I will use it myself, I always try to pray at the boat ramp before launch. Good luck everyone! Paul

A pheasant hunters perspective on duck hunting

Isn't that the truth? I Remember when I had a 12' aluminum v with a 3.9 merc and about 12 decoys. Now look at me. A garage full of crap dedicated to shooting more divers!

How many hunters is too many?

agreed 100%. I much prefer alone or maybe with 1 other person, but have taken 3 other guys with me in the big boat when the situation called for it.

    Decoy Killers...

Im in with this reply. Hunt cheaper decoys. They are diver ducks, if they're finishing, decoys are getting shot. If he's swatting crips right on top of dekes on purpose or something, make him help patch decoys. I can't see spending buku bucks on diver decoys when I know they'll be taking...

    Blue winged beauties...

Good to see kids and gals in the blind. I took my friend and his daughter out on youth day and she had a blast, her second duck ever was a blue wing. Would love to be part of our own a club someday. Here's to hoping. Looks like a lot of fun.

    Calling all duck/goose canners

Got a free pressure canner from a co-worker, will try a goose breast in a few days and let you know how it works out! It's more for stews, soups, stroganoff (sp?) etc. paul

    Calling all duck/goose canners

Thanks for the reply Todd, Freezer space is high value at our house. I will give it a try and give my review later.

    Calling all duck/goose canners

I will give it a shot and let you know. We do not have the freezer space at our new place, and don't really have any room for a chest freezer in the house. I think it will be a good way to store meat in the "dungeon" downstairs, ready to be used at a moments notice. No taking out, thawing...

    Calling all duck/goose canners

All the talk of canned venison in my "who hunts deer" thread got my mouth watering... Planning on scraping up some pennies and buying a modest pressure canner and some canning jars - any tips or recipes? seems like a great way to go for fast and tender after the pain of a few days of...

    My Mentor...

So sorry for your loss, that would be very hard. As someone who "got into this" mostly on their own, I can see how strong a bond it would be to learn from someone like that. Treasure the memories. Paul

    Prepping for a trip

This is very cool, congratulations on the trip. My dad, who is not a hunter, was with me with his camera the very first time I shot a limit of ducks. I will never forget that. 5 young Wigeon and a nice drake ringneck. He is getting in the boat with me this year on one heck of an adventure, a...
