Advice sought for wood lathe compound sliding tool rest (numerous pics)

Maybe I'm not seeing things right here Eric. If I am understanding you correctly you need to move the cutter up 1/2" to fit you lathe. From the photos it looks like you have at least that much adjustment in the slot for the hold down bolt. How about a stack of hardened steel washers ,and...

    Decoy broken neck

How about epoxy? I assume its a jagged break? Just mix a little up, spread it on, and place back together. I've broken more of my decoys than I care to think about, and that is my usual fix.

    Eiders

My parents were sailing down by you on their way to Bermuda a couple of weeks ago. My father teels me he's never seen so many Eider as you had there. Considering he's from Maine that's saying something!

    Long Line ???

Pat, I run 3' dropper lines spaced about 6' apart on the long line. That way one decoy will not wrap around another. I use the real scientific method of measuring: I put on a decoy, stretch out my arms, and put the next decoy there. Repeat. So far no problems.

Is the ASPCA equally as bad as HSUS ?

Not as disturbed as HDUD but dont confuse them with the SPCA. The ASPCA is a different breed than the SPCA.

Seems to me there was a Technical Service Bulletin about the Eaton rear locker differentials as well. Might be something to have them look into. I don't have access to the magical Alldata site anymore or I would try to help more.

    Fiberglass resin question

In a word, Yes. The same fillers used for epoxy will work for Poly Resin. In fact a lot of them were developed for poly resin, and worked in epoxy.

    John Aug endorsement

I got home from work today and found a different box sitting it the middle of my shed. I dont know who told UPS to put it there but it was a suprise. The box had a return address from John. I was able to assist John a month or so ago in his quest for a Fox Sterlingworth, basically I...
