    Quirky Things your pup does?

Sounds like a smart dog to me. I used to have a doberman that was pretty smart sometimes. I watched him once when given a plate of leftovers that had some olives in it. He liked the olives but not the pimentoes. He spit them all out in a neat pile on the side of the plate.

    Ugly Ducklings---

I've always thought it was good luck when you could get a swan in the decoys the young ones especially respond well to a call I've never tried to use a call, just "whoo whoo" by mouth definitely a red letter day

    WTB Small Boat Trailer

Dave's Trailer Sales in Glen Burnie is supposed to have the best prices in the area if you want new. A friend of mine just bought one from him for a 17' cc and I thought the price was pretty reasonable. I can get you a phone number if you need it.

Retained bullets in animals, specifically deer....

I've put a couple of deer over the years that were crippled from bad shots. One with a hide full of #6 shot. About 10 years ago my dad shot a 6 pt with one side dangling by the skin with a skull fracture. Had a friend shoot one two years ago with an arrow through both eyes. Tod, If you...

Dol-fin on displacement hull - BBSB

If the boat tends to run with the bow way up then they help. Otherwise I wouldn't use one. They rob speed and collect weeds, decoy line and all sorts of other things you might encounter in the marsh.

Tow vehicles: 4wd and "electronic locking axle"

It really depends on how you are going to use the truck. If it going to be used off road then the locker will be very useful. If the truck will rarely see anything worse than a gravel path at a campground then maybe not necessary. My bigger concern would be buying a truck with the brand new...

    LONG LINE CLIPS

atagulf is where I have bought almost all of mine. They were about $50 for 100 shipped. I checked with a bunch of places and they seem to be the cheapest, with Doctari being second best. I use the small clips since I leave my decoys attached to the line. If I was going to clip and unclip...

    Hey Goose Hunters

Or anyone else who might use a temporary blind where it is snowy. I was in the dollar store yesterday and picked up several cans of the fake snow for 62 cents a can. Avery sells the same stuff for $8 and I don't think the cans are as big.

    Wildfowl Magazine Decision

What magazine would you suggest in it's place? My aunt gives me a magazine subscription every year for Christmas. It had been Outdoor Life, but since they dropped McMannus it isn't worth opening the cover. She asked what I wanted instead and I was thinking Wildfowl, but I am not sold on that...

How do I get my decoy back?

Your just going to have to lay down the law and let your wife know who is in charge. When that doesn't work, maybe you can track down the carver and have another one made. Good luck

Mixed gas for outboards - is chainsaw oil the same, and how do you measure by the ounce?

I don't know what you have in your area, but most marine supply stores sell measuring bottles for mixing oil. Makes it a lot easier, the bottle is marked on the side with the different mix ratios. Just fill oil to the mark for how many gallons of gas you just filled.

Slug gun scope base ndr obviously

The side saddle mount should work just fine. You can also have a gunsmith drill and tap the receiver if the gun isn't used for anything else. If the gun isn't a full time slug gun your gunsmith should be able to make a cantilever mount off of the barrel. I have a cantilever on my Ithaca, very...
