Thanks for the kind comments I think my boat turned out super. I found the idea for the grass mat on UTube. Momarsh boats camo video will give you a step by step sequence to build this type of camo cover.

Hi Jon, I plan to do both, the grass mat comes off just by undoing the bungee cords so the boat can be used as a scull or as a layout blind. Mike

We are getting pretty thick smoke in the Spokane region

The process I used was to attach the fittings for the bunges then zip tied a plastic one inch square fencing material to the bunge cord and then zip tied on seven pounds of Killer Weed to the grid. I used over 300 5 inch zip ties on this project.

After 15 years sitting in the the shed this old boat is ready to hunt again this year. I have posted a series of pictures to show the rehab as it progressed.

Karen and I came through Ellensberg the day the fire started and watched it race up the mountain and knew it was going to be a bad one. Looking forward to getting together with you this fall. Mike

After 15 years in storage my old glass Humboldt Bay Sculler will be rehabed and ready to hunt this fall. Thanks to being retired I now have the time to work on this great boat. It looks bad due to lack of use but it is in great shape structurally. I will keep you posted on my progress. My BBSB...

The river is wide and would accommodate the grey paint I guess I need to decide how much it will be used as a stationary boat blind what a great dilemna Mike

I have a fiberglass Humboldt bay scull boat that I now have on a river in NE Washington. In open water I would repaint the boat in duck boat grey but now using it in the river I was thinking of a marsh grass paint color Is this the right thing to do? Thanks Mike

This BBSB will be my first project

I am very excited about retiring the last day of May and traveling back to Spokane, WA. I look forward to working on my duck boats and hunting my ass off this fall. Watch out ducks here I come.
