It took a couple days but I was able to talk to a game warden in Texas who told me hunting from a scull boat was ok . Now I just need to check out the different bodies of water for rules about waterfowl hunting .

Thank you Steve I was wondering the same thing I know very little about hunting in Texas and my son is thinking about moving to the north east area of Texas. Hunting from a scull boat is just about the only way I hunt now days .

Thank you for the information on the pintail decoys I have the model 50 decoys and they are hollow your decoys are very nice I painted mine once when I got them --- they could use another paint job with the information you have posted maybe I will give it a go !

those mallards are long gone maybe i can get some more tomorrow or better yet maybe you will get some big fat mallards and put them in that fancy new cooker you got just don't forget to bring them for lunch next time out !

Out here on the west coast we had a great season. The weather was so nice and the winds calm that we hunted from scull boats all season .

Andy We have hunted Brant out here in CA, for many years and have never had a bad one . They have all tasted great . We use 3" #2 , #3 and #4 shot . Most of our hunts are from layout boats and they decoy easy most of the time . Good luck with your hunt .
