March "What's on your Workbench?"

Finally warm enough to get out to the bandsaw and get a block cut out.

Let the chips fly.

Is that going to be decorative? The only reason I ask is the way the grain is running through the tail.

Nice bird Larry! Love the bobtail...

Thanks, Pat pretty proud of it being my 1st. I see a few things I would like to improve on the next to come such as the head/neck transition and some extra detail on the head. very addictive and alot of fun!! Carving definetly eases the pain of waiting for next gunning season.

great work everyone!!!! I have nothing to share, two wigeon heads have been staring at me for weeks now and I have not had the gumption to get off my posterior and work on their bodies.

I have been readying myself for fishing though so my workbench-paint shop-jig tying-computer desk has been messy lately.

I am hoping the NW Mo crappie like them

Drew the pattern last night, cut it out just after lunch, and shellacked it tonight at about 7. Going to block paint it tonight and try to finish it tomorrow.

I finished up the Turkey Decoys I started in last months thread. They are life-size ( about as big as a Canada Goose.)

The upright hollow bird will be my gunner for the spring season and the suitcase bird is making the trip to Westlake with a few other dekes.

Thanks Bob.........They look great Sean.............lot of work aren't they..........:>)
