Nice lookn toy there Gene, what kind did ya get? The last few years I'm starting to see woodchucks around here again, for several years they dissapeared.

Dennis, It's a rock river M4 tac. entry flat top. I Had the 24' shaw w/target crown 1 in 8 twist twist upper built, scope is a 6-18x to switch out. I'll end up building another lower for target barrrel at some point.

Standard northern white cedar, very straight grained and clear. Though "eggshelled" might be a misnomer. They generally are 1/8" to 1/4" wall, with the thickest part where the rigging attaches. .

I think eggshell is pretty accurate for 1/8" thick. Are they usable or are they meant to be decorative?
 
Absolutley useable.........they don't need to be anywhere near that thin......but it's fun to do once in awhile to try out a new tool, or just for the heck of it.
