March "What's on your Workbench?"

Jode

You gonna be at Westlake? I've talked to Lenny a little and sounds like a bunch of you Jersey folk are coming over. We'll have to find time to share our birds and do a little show and tell. Can't wait to catch up.

Nice whistlers by the way...

Thanks Rich, The Cans will work for sure, Nice!

Thanks Geoff, Yea decided to make the run with a friend......looking forward to it, haven't been for a few years.

While waiting for some paint for decoys I had a project that turned out to be fun. Had a request for a rabbit head for a beer tap. A home brew maker who's wife is a rabbit nut wanted a dutch bunny head with the ears laid back due to the tap placement. Anyway, never did a bunny before but it was fun and turned out OK. I did a whole bunny for the guys wife as a surprise. Hope I get a lifetime supply of home brew for these. :-)

The head is Montana cottonwood and the whole body is white pine, Janses acrylics.

Still a bit of work to do to all of them, but its keeping me busy. I've got a long ways to go to catch up to the craftsmanship on this site though. I love stopping back to se the "what's on your bench" threads. Some really inspirational work presented by some fantastic carvers.
