Whatcha Listening To?

Spinning up Staind at work today. While I love to hear Aaron Lewis scream and rage, this one is easier listening. Staind was the first band I ever saw in concert, along with Korn, circa 2000. It was an unforgettable experience.
I haven't heard that one in quite some time and forgot how much I liked it. Aaron Lewis has such a powerful voice with a lot of range. If I had to make a quick list of the best lead singers in rock he'd make it.

Go ahead and laugh if you want to but I've been listening to some Bee Gees. True they were the disco generation but they were so much more. Their voices were so pure and clear, not like the crap now days that is filtered and run thru a computer before you hear it. Those guys could really sing. If you haven't seen the documentary on them you should check it out.

There is a whole series of videos where they take well known drummers and have them play a famous song that they've never heard (different genres or eras between the song and drummer). These are fun to watch.

Everyone had pretty much written them off and their label didn't want to promote them anymore. Then they dropped this masterpiece.

.

With four Grammys under the belt and their second album causing a buzz with two more nominations Wet Leg has tapped into some energy I've not seen since I don't know when. This band might just be poised for superstardom the likes a rock band hasn't seen in years.
