Whats on the workbench in June?

Well, they are matte! Best way to find out how they work is this fall--That forewing patch might be better as burnt sienna with a BIT of black. You wil get better with age, and, Gaddies are really a major undertaking for the first attempt!!
God bless.

The mix of New Carvers, Old Timers and those in the middle, really makes me smile. It tells me so much about the past, present and future of what we love to Do.

Thanks to all for posting. Good Stuff.

david those greys look great. The whole object is to convey the feel of the species from a distance, and those babies are going to project Gadwall to all the birds on the lake.

Chris- It looks great! On the next one, paint the top of the side pocket feathers the other way (flip them over). You've got them upside-down!

I'm finally back to the fish. A not quite finished brook trout. Needs a couple fins done yet, a few small details and a better background.

Thank you, I always enjoy seeing yours also.

I think I've told you before but you do need to make an Indian Runner pickleweed decoy someday. It would be great for those park duck shoots. :)

With 1 hour and 10 minutes to spare this Woodie is 99% done. Frond body, cedar head, tack eyes, & acrylics.
