Brandon~
Yes - those 3 Blacks in the foreground are your Chesapeakes. They are about half-way done. They got their oil base coats and latex topcoats - but still need those all-important (to me, if not to the ducks) finishing touches on their faces and backs.
The past few days have been all "outside work" - mowing, planting and even taking care of the Pencil Brook "Marina" - all the vessels that belong to either customers (in the queue) or my own fleet. Most of my vessels cannot get my attentions 'til next Fiscal Year, but still need to be carefully stored. I just scrubbed my Rhodes 19 - which I hope to sail on Lake Champlain in the Summer of '24 - and a nice old cedar Sneakbox that needs to be moved out of one of Susan's border gardens. Both need new tarps. Last month's very heavy snowfall took its toll on hundreds of big limbs - and several big trees - all around the farm, but also ruined some of my storage tarps. The rain just chased me inside.
No shortage of chores hereabouts - but it's all good.
All the best,
SJS
