Workshop Construction

I'll bet those pine boards are to be shelves for all your decoys.

After I do the walls that would be a dandy use for them. Of course I've got a lot of gum to get off of them first and luckily for girls who went to Limestone county schools the planer will take off graffiti written about them.

Eric,
Can't hardly wait for the "shop warming" party. :>) I suspect Michelle will have mixed feelings when you start moving your shop equipment over to the new location.

Eric
Looks like you've planned well including a "class" construction company. Don't forget electric door lifts as I keep telling you :). It has to be a labor of love and enjoy seeing it shape up. It certaintly will be a "man cave".

WOW..!!!! Now thats a "mega mancave". I love it..!!!
Good luck and have fun laying it all out. Sure wish I had the room for one of those :0)

Thanks guys. I have a lot of work ahead of me but am looking forward to it.

Dave, Michelle can't wait for me to get my stuff out of the garage so she can park in it again. She wants to be in it before winter and I think I can be all moved out by then.

Boz, garage opener is going to have to wait. Budget all gone before I could get to it. I've got some items that will be done over as finances allow. The top of that list is AC and then concrete for the driveway. In due time....

Today marked a significant event in the shop construction. My machines, tools, boats, tractor, and everything else is now sitting safely in the new shop. Not one machine or item was damaged in the move. Michelle and I can now park our cars in the garage so no more scraping ice and a warmer. She's excited about that. Power in the shop was turned on following final inspection so I have power and am ready to start putting up the pine walls. With duck season 16 days away that project probably won't start in earnest until Feb but I'm finally in and really happy about it.

Grass finally coming in and covering muddy construction site. I was sick of tracking in mud every time I walked across the yard.

Beds are ready for plants. Shrubs will go in before next summer.

One little two little three little Olivers... Call making parties are going to be a regular thing once the shop is ready for it.

While the building was going up I restored this Oliver 159 built in the 30's. Smoothest running of the three by far.

This Monarch Unipoint radial arm saw will be the first restoration project in the shop. I could use it now but will probably wait until the pine walls are up.

Machines are in place but I'll keep tweaking their location until I find the configuration that suits me best.

Food plot equipment has a place in the garage with the Devlins.

Devlins now sitting in this open space.

I am so glad I added the attic over the shop. Keeps the shop from being junky while I set it up.

Jode & Brad

Thanks. To get where I am now took longer than I thought, but now that I'm moved in and have power I can start making progress on my schedule instead of the contractors. Timing couldn't be better with ducks season in a couple weeks.

Wow, that looks great. Now you can spend some time to get some newer machines and get rid of those old clunkers.

Holly smokes! And you had all that in a garage. You wife will be asking for a new SUV for Her side of the garage now. That's a great shop!

Ed

Not all of it was in my garage. Some of it was in the tool shed, the attic, the yard, and at a friend's company. Regardless, the garage was too cramped to work comfortably thus taking considerable enjoyment away. I basically came to the point either build a dedicated shop or liquidate.

Eric,

I have been a little busy and not been around here much so I missed this. That is an awesome looking shop. Really beats the 5x10 area I have in my garage. With that much space (and equipment) you are going to have to build something.

See you out on the lake.

Eric
Reviewed your construction posts again and now with the equipment moved in I can see you with a Shi$$$$$$ eaten grin everytime you entire that palace. You gotta have to name it and make a sign with all that equipment. Congratulations.
