The boat sits very close to the water it is definately a small water boat. Sits about 9 inches out. I have an electric 55lb thrust motor on it but would not be fast enough to chase down a half shot bird. I saw the post of your restore. It is a beautiful boat I would not risk breaking it. The motor is light enough just putit on at the ramp.

If you cannot find a home for the dog pm me. We have a fair amount of property and a large fenced in yard. Not concerned about papers. Not even sure I would hunt the dog.

I moved to Maryland from Florida 19 years ago. Maryland has high taxes and alot of undesireable people. That being said, it is a beautiful state with awesome waterfowl opportunities.

Consider purchasing one of the c02 operated models along wiyh 1 or 2 extra cartridges. Then while it is still warm out, jump in and test it out, see how it opens with your gear on, and get comfortable with it.
